Mike Pejcic is the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for Finance, Administration, and Information Technology at International Youth Foundation (IYF). He came to IYF from Interpeace in Geneva, Switzerland, where he served as Director of Administration and CFO for nearly 10 years. Active in the nonprofit international development field for more than 20 years, he has worked with organizations such as the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, World Vision International, Habitat for Humanity International, and Mercy Corps in Africa, the United States, and Europe. Even before completing his undergraduate degree, he worked with the Adventist Development & Relief Agency (ADRA) in Ivory Coast, Rwanda, and Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Andrews University and MBA from the University of Westminster in London.

Dr. Birol A. Yeşilada is professor of Political Science and International Studies at Portland State University (PSU).  He is also holder of the endowed chair in Contemporary Turkish Studies in the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government. Dr. Yeşilada received his B.A. degree in 1977 in Neurobiology from the University of California at Berkeley, his M.A. in Political Science in 1979 from San Francisco State University, and his Ph.D. in Political Science in1984 from the University of Michigan.  His current research interests include: Global power transition, the European Union, political and economic development of Turkey, radical Islam and terrorism, the Cyprus negotiations, and politics of economic reform in the emerging markets.

Dr. Bernardo Arévalo de León is a Senior Peacebuilding Adviser for the International Peacebuilding Advisory Team of Interpeace, previously serving as Deputy Director General for Research and Development. Bernardo served in Guatemala’s foreign service for over 12 years, including as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and as Ambassador to Spain. Has been leading and supporting peacebuilding teams in his country and around the world for the last 20 years.

Dr. Thanos P. Dokos received his Ph.D. in International Relations from Cambridge University and has held research posts at the Hessische Stiftung Friedens und Konfliktforschung (1989-90) and the Center for Science and International Affairs (CSIA) at Harvard University (1990-91). He served as the Director for Research, Strategic Studies Division, Hellenic Ministry of National Defence (1996-98) and as an Advisor on NATO issues to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998-1999). He was a NATO research fellow for 1996-98. He is currently the Director-General of ELIAMEP. He has taught at the Universities of Athens and Piraeus, the Hellenic National Defense College, the Diplomatic Academy and the Hellenic National Security School.
